Imagine this for a moment. You’ve finally found the car you’ve been searching for. Maybe it’s a classic sports car, or perhaps a modern Porsche, Ferrari or Audi TT. Whatever; it’s now your pride and joy, and you make every effort to keep it looking stunning.
And then one day you need some new tyres. An hour later, you return to the dealer to find the mechanics looking shifty and your precious alloys scraped and scratched – possibly even with a counterweight glued to the outside surface. Impossible? No, an everyday horror story – and it’s even happened to us!
At Cool It we treat wheels and tyres with respect, whether it’s some new tyres for your road wheels or a complete spare set of wheels and tyres for track-day use. We have invested in top quality Hofmann motorsport fitting and balancing machines for professional treatment and calibration; if a counter-balancing weight is needed it goes on the inside of the wheel, and we even use gloves to handle your alloys.
We also sell new wheels, and there are sometimes available second-hand rims which have passed our careful scrutiny.
But if the worst has happened and someone has kerbed your wheels, or you have bought a second-hand vehicle with less-than-perfect rims, we can still help. Our refurbishment programme can completely rejuvenate used wheels, as long as they are not heavily scored or intrinsically damaged, to produce the set of glistening alloys your car deserves – and at a surprisingly reasonable price.
